The International Conference on Intelligent
Traffic and Transportation (ICITT) is a major event for
academics, researchers, and industrialists who are engaged in
Intelligent Traffic and Transportation research. Held annually
since the late 2010, the conference is renowned as a friendly
and inclusive platform that brings together a broad community of
researchers who share a common goal: developing and managing
engineering and technologies revolution of Transportation
Systems, and operations which are key to sustaining the success
of Intelligent Traffic and Transportation industries. For over a
decade, ICITT has been the main Intelligent Traffic and
Transportation research conference organized overall across EU
and the world, successfully, bringing researchers, academics,
and industrialists together to share their knowledge, know-how
and experiences. Initiated as an Intelligent Traffic and
Transportation National workshop by ICITT Consortium of
well-known University key professors in Intelligent Traffic and
Transportation applied research, and it became an International
Conference in 2016.
ICITT Consortium is an independent
body established in 2010. Its main aim is to promote Intelligent
Traffic and Transportation engineering and technology education,
training and research and knowledge exchange and transfer. To
achieve this, the conference chairmen, Consortium, and committee
members maintains a close association with international bodies
concerned with the training and continuing development of
professional engineers and technologist, while responding to the
appropriate consultative and discussion of documents and other
initiatives. The conference also plans major industrial visits
to, Small to Medium Enterprises (SME's)
and Large Enterprise (LE's) industries
to enhance conference participants knowledge and experience of
the existing and future industrial revolution (i.e., digital
transformation, industry 4.0 and beyond, autonomous technology,
industrial automation... etc.) and its
impact on Intelligent Traffic and Transportation market.
In 2016 the ICITT conference was given the title International
(ICITT) to reflect the current trends in Intelligent Traffic and
Transportation engineering and technology and to promote the
exchange of research, engineering, and technology application
experiences internationally. It also serves to foster
communication among researchers and practitioners working in a
wide variety of scientific areas with a common interest in
intelligent traffic and transportation and related techniques.
Following the successful ICITTs in past seven years in
Zurich in 2017, Stockholm in 2018, Amsterdam in 2019, and
virtual mode for 2020 and 2021, hybrid for 2022 in Paris and
2023 in Madrid, the conference will be held in
Florence, Italy during
September 16-18, 2024. Welcome
scholars and researchers working in the field of intelligent
traffic and transportation from all over the world to attend the
conference and share your experiences and lessons with other
enthusiasts, and develop opportunities for cooperation.
Submissions will be sent to at least two technical conference committee members and international reviewers for peer review. Accepted and presented papers will be included into a volume of the Advances in Transdisciplinary Engineering book series, published by IOS Press. The book series is indexed by EI Compendex, and Scopus.
